Marvell products (hardware, software, and technology) are considered "Dual-Use Items" that can have both civil and military applications. These products are subject to export and import controls under the laws and regulations of the United States, the European Union, and any other applicable export and import laws and regulations in countries where Marvell does business.
Certain trade activities involving the export, re-export, transfer, and use of Marvell products may require obtaining the U.S. and local authorizations, permits, or licenses. In addition, we are prohibited from doing business with restricted parties and customers in certain countries without government authorization. As a result, Marvell and its partners must screen business transactions to ensure we remain in compliance.
Marvell is committed to comply with the applicable export and import laws and regulations and expects its suppliers and customers to understand and comply with all applicable regulations. In the U.S., Marvell products and technologies are subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Office of Foreign Asset Control regulations.
Military End Users and End Uses
In accordance with section 744.21 of the EAR, a U.S. export license may be required for products with specific export control classification numbers (ECCN) destined to military end users or for military end uses in China, Russia and Venezuela. The ECCN for Marvell products can be found using the search tool below.
Government End Users
Marvell’s encryption restricted products subject to section 740.17(b)(2) of the EAR are designated by Marvell as “ENC_R”. These products may be exported or re-exported to most civilian and commercial end users located in all territories, except embargoed destinations and countries designated as supporting terrorist activities. However, export or reexport of ENC_R products to certain government end users, as defined by section 772 of the EAR, in countries not listed in Supplement No. 3 to Part 740 may require US government authorization.
Prohibited End Uses
Export control laws prohibit the use of Marvell products in the development, production or dissemination of chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons and missiles without appropriate government authorization.
