Derek Hardy

Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer

Derek Hardy is Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Marvell, where he leads the company’s global digital and physical security programs, as well as enterprise workplace solutions, including the organization’s facilities and real estate functions. He brings over 24 years of leadership across the high-tech, financial, defense, and government sectors, with expertise in aligning security strategy with business objectives, architecting and delivering enterprise-scale solutions, and leading high-performing teams across complex global environments.

Before joining Marvell, Derek served as Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at AMD. He has also held senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin, and Jenzabar. In addition, he serves on the Security Advisory Board at Dell Technologies.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organization Development from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia and earned his Master of Science in Information Assurance, cum laude, from Norwich University, a U.S. government-designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity.
