The Marvell NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD controller family, consisting of the 88SS1321, 88SS1322 and 88SS1323 devices, are focused on enabling next-generation data center, edge computing and client applications by optimizing power-performance, capacity-performance, endurance, reliability and security in ultra small package sizes. Fabricated on a 12nm process, the devices in the family bring support covering all existing and emerging m.2 (22110 to 2230), BGA, EDSFF and U.2 SSD form factors.
PCIe Gen4, the latest generation of PCI Express specification coupled with Marvell’s complex system-on-chip (SoC) design expertise, its innovative NANDEdge™ advanced error correction technology and low power architecture, provides clear power-performance, thermal management and board real estate utilization advantages to SSD deployments. The SSD controllers each support four ONFI and TOGGLE NAND channels, operating at up to 1200MT/s to enable high capacity, high throughput and low latency storage over a wide range of use cases. These controllers will enable next-generation 3D and QLC NAND devices that maximize cost efficiency.
